Note: For non-Arab/non-Muslim reading this page, there are a few acronyms and abbreviations that you need to be aware of.

Allah SWT - Allah is the Arabic word for "God" “SWT" These letters stand for the Arabic words "Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala," or "Glory to Him, the Exalted. It is manners to add this after mentioning the Almighty.

SAWS or SWS - This is usually done when mentioning the Prophet Muhammed. Under divine recommendation Muslims should say:" S.A.W. Sallallahu alayhi wa Salam,which means (Peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).

Insh'Allah - If Allah wills.

Alhamdullilah - All praise and thanks belongs to Allah SWT.

SubhanAllah - Glory be to Allah SWT.

Bismillah - In the name of Allah SWT

Allahu Akbar - Allah SWT is the Greatest or Allah SWT is greater than [whatever else is being mentioned].
